Hales Group are currently seeking a Saw Operative for their client based Nr Eye, Suffolk

 

Working within a large warehouse you will be dealing with the operation and set up of panel and cross cut saws.

 

You will be required to do the following:-

 

·         Cut high volumes of ply wood, 8 x 4 sheets, lengths of 4 x 2 timber as well as pine/oak.

·         Examine drawings, work orders and follow set procedures to gain exact specifications for final product.

·         Inspect and measure work for accuracies and imperfections

·         Count, sort and stack finished products

·         Monitor the operation of the saw machines; sharpen blades and clear machine jams etc

 

Due to the design and high end quality of the product accuracy and attention to detail is paramount along with previous experience within a similar role.

 

You will need to have your own transport due to the location of our client

 

Hours of work are from 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday, however some flexibility is required
