Hales Group are seeking a Production Engineer for our client based in Thetford, Norfolk.

As Production Engineer you will support production teams by maintaining the productivity of machines and equipment to meet production and customer requirements, monitor performance and maintain maximum productivity using KPI, continuously improve with a target of manufacturing excellent and be totally responsible for all aspects of quality with a right first time approach.

Duties will include undertaking tasks with due regard to health and safety and be aware of the company environmental management system. To carry out and record corrective actions taken on machines, carry out tool changes and colour changes effectively maintaining or improving scrap and spoilage levels to the companies targets, carry out and record all required quality checks and ensure the highest quality standards are maintained and to work to company policy of zero defects to all quality standards.

You will assist team leaders when required, be responsible for ensuring safety checks are being completed and for arranging corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment. Provide emergency repair service for shift personnel to meet short term production requirements in a prompt and efficient manner, maintain production and ancillary machines mechanically for breakdown and planned maintenance. You will undertake development of new and existing products and other duties within your capabilities.
