Hales Group are looking to recruit a HR Officer for their Cambridge based client.
Working as a HR officer you will be working as part of a team effectively providing a hands on HR service. You will advise on the firms HR policies and practices, consulting with the Senior HR Officer where appropriate to ensure that the firm meets it's legal and social obligations. You will act as the first point of contact for employee queries/issues and will handle disciplinary, capability and grievance situations where relevant. You will also advise/coach line managers/partners on optimising performance, and will work with the Senior HR Officer to present and/or facilitate local training workshops ensuring that staff personal development needs are met through appraisal, coaching and mentoring programmes. You will monitor employee absence/labour turnover to produce monthly statistics and will check weekly/monthly payroll submissions for accuracy. You will deputise for the Senior HR Officer in their absence and will be involved in other ad hoc projects/tasks when required.
Additional Comments :
The successful candidate must be CIPD qualified, or almost qualified. They must be fully experienced in all aspects of HR at senior level, including advising on policies and procedures, handling disciplinarians, capability and grievance situations and managing experienced hire recruitment up to management level. They must be competent to run the HR office in Cambridge.
