Hales Group are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for our client based in Lowestoft, Suffolk.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be qualified to a minimum of HND Level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and have experience in a similar role. Previous design / manufacturing background and working knowledge of fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics and lifting equipment design as well as training or actual work experience using AutoCAD Release 2008 and/or Inventor or Solid Works. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be an enthusiastic and energetic individual with a keen desire to succeed.

Duties will include producing engineering designs and associated engineering documents (such as drawings, calculations, reports) and ensuring they are completed within the requirements. Issuing engineering documents as required. Progressing small and medium sized engineering projects, as allocated by the Engineering Manager, or working as a part of a team on larger projects. Carrying out work, including all aspects of the design process such as draughting and testing of products, as deemed appropriate by the engineering Manager.
