  • Our Client is looking to recruit a Structural/Development Engineer to contribute to the flow of work and manpower requirements in the Engineering/Development Department.  Liaising directly with Sales, Customer Representatives, Detail Draughtsmen, Production, Inspection and External Suppliers to ensure that the relevant information is available to manufacture the product effectively and in compliance with structural, cost and contractual obligations.

    Responsibilities for this role include;

    To develop and maintain a thorough technical knowledge of all existing standard products and structures.

    To ensure that design engineering requests delegated to yourself are available so that projects can be manufactured and despatched to meet the customer's requirements.

    To ensure that any special or new designs comply with the structural conditions identified, the customer's general requirements and are compatible with our own modular construction principles.

    To design and develop new and improved structures for all of our market sectors using finite element analysis or other established standard criteria.

    To contribute directly to the ongoing Company Development Programme as part of the project team.

    To contribute to the ongoing challenge of improved quality via ISO 9001 accreditation.

    The health and safety of yourself and others within the Engineering Department.

    Any other duties which may reasonably be requested giving due regard to your existing status.

    The company need someone who is accurate and able to meet customer requirements. 

    You will be making structural calculations for the product systems and adapting the products to meet requirements.

    Candidates from a Metal Structural or Construction background would be ideal.
