  • Hales Group are looking for a Strategic Transport Planner for our Cambridgeshire based client.  This is a key role within the office for an experienced transport planner to take on project management roles in strategic transport planning.  This role requires an individual with experience of strategic transport planning, ideally from a consultancy or local authority background, with modelling knowledge.

    Applications are invited from individuals with a background in strategic transport planning and who are familiar with transport funding.  You will need to be fully conversant with UK strategic planning practice and able to demonstrate a track record in appraisal methods.  You will be responsible for technical direction, delivery to timescales and budget, management of a project teams, liaison with clients and working overseas as required.  You will be involved with tenders for strategic transport planning studies and contribute to continuous improvement.  

    You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to engage with and influence clients and senior decision makers; excellent communication and project management skills as well as proven man management background.  You will be expected to hold a degree in a transport related subject, numeric subject or equivalent.
