Due to continued growth our client based in Great Yarmouth is seeking a project / production manager to control all manufacturing activities within the company.
Duties will include organising and managing overall manufacturing operations ensuring all products are fabricated, assembled and shipped as required to meet customer schedules and quality requirements, Continually evaluate and improve manufacturing processes and track all employee performance and give employee appraisals at designated intervals. Continually review the workload and review staffing / material levels, assist in the implementation of an MRP system, evaluate the impact of new designs on the manufacturing processes, recommend and implement process changes to reach production requirements, ensure a positive work environment and awareness of company / manufacturing goals and objectives and to ensure that continuous improvements of the designs are seen through to a successful conclusion. Part of the production managers role will be to help create a more streamlined work flow to increase the turnaround speed without loosing out on quality it is therefore very important that the person for this role has worked within a production / manufacturing area before. Our client will consider candidates who have worked as a production supervisor or similar type of role and has a full understanding of what is required from a production manager.
The successful candidate must have a proven track record of managing and delivering products within the manufacturing industry and experience within a similar position. It is essential that you have hazardous area electrical knowledge and understanding, engineering knowledge and understanding, hydraulic knowledge and understanding, experience with Autocad and you must be IT literate.
