AINT NO CHALLENGE BIG ENOUGH FOR THE HALES TEAM
On 13th July, Donna Hurricks, Account Co-ordinator of our Lowestoft branch completed a tandem sky dive with the Red Devils from 13,000 feet. She was free falling for 45 seconds but the experience lasted for a total of 6 minutes. Donna completed the challenge to show support to a friend who is currently serving as a Marine in Afghanistan, in total she raised over £500 for Help the Hero’s.
On 16/17th July, Kirsty Parker, Assistant Branch Manager of our Thetford branch completed the Trailwalker Challenge, hiking a magnificent 100km in 25 hours and 35 minutes over the South Downs to Brighton (with no sleep!). With the help of her 3 team mates she raised £2500 for Oxfam and the Ghurka Welfare Trust. The Ghurka's themselves ran the whole way and completed it in 10 hours 30 minutes but we won’t hold that against Kirsty!

RECENT SURVEY REINFORCES BENEFITS OF USING AN AGENCY TO GET THE RIGHT CANDIDATES
A recent survey has found a record 32 people are applying for every job in London on average, more than three times the amount for any other region. Employers in the North East, North West, South East (including East Anglia) and West Midlands share the second highest rate, receiving an average of nine applications for every job, the report by Totaljobs.com found. Northern Ireland-based employers have the lowest number of candidates per job, with just four applications for every vacancy registered on average, despite a 54pc increase in the number of jobs available in three months to June compared to the first quarter of the year.
Clients are increasingly turning to professional employment agencies to ensure that they access the most appropriate candidates with the necessary skills to perform their roles. Hales Group work with their clients to maximise applications to their roles and use a variety of on and off line methods to attract interest from the passive job seeker who may not have put their CV in the public domain but places trust in the confidentiality of a service such as that provided by Hales Group.
